Our approach

Safety isn't a feature — it's a design principle. Every meaningful decision we make goes through a "what's the worst case for the most vulnerable user" filter before it ships.

Tech we use

Rate limiting on every public mutation — caps spammy messages, mass blocks, and abuse loops.
Server-side image validation — every uploaded photo is checked for magic bytes; non-image files are deleted.
Audit logs on every privileged operation — bans, refunds, account deletions are traceable to the moderator who actioned them.
Encrypted storage for session tokens (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).
Mandatory 2FA for every admin account that can ban or refund.

People we work with

Moderation team — 7-day-a-week coverage. Average response time on safety reports: under 4 hours.
NCMEC for reporting CSAM.
Local law enforcement for credible threats of violence or self-harm.
Crisis hotlines in 30+ countries, surfaced in-app when self-harm or eating-disorder content is detected.

What you can do

Tools available to every user, regardless of subscription tier:

Block — they can't see you, can't message you, can't show up in your deck. Bidirectional, instant.
Report — sends evidence to moderation. Reviewed within 24 hours.
Hide your online status — Settings → Privacy & Safety.
Public-profile toggle — limit who can find you by username.
Notification controls — turn off per-category alerts you don't want.
